Learning English in China

A friend of mine teaches English in China, and he sent me four images from the textbook he has been assigned. To deem them glorious would be putting it mildly.


A rather upset Orang. One should also note the somewhat less common IPA transcription of the word - all too understandable, of course, since the system is not complicated enough as it is.

glede (glēd) n. Any of several birds of prey, especially a European kite (Milvus milvus).


I somehow doubt they actually meant the Milvus milvus, but I give them the benefit of the doubt.

A nutria is a really angry beaver.
